At this moment a favorite game of the kids! We made our own rules, so we can play with three players too. A fun game, you use your fantasy, and try to think how the other thinks and draws. It makes for some surprising drawings!

Lasagne

My girl Lisa (9) has been wanting to learn how to cook.
So, I let her make Lasagne. Of course, guiding her every step of the way. And documenting it with LOTS of photo's
I turned it into a recipe card for her, so next time I will have an eye out, but she'll be able to do most of it herself. :)

Well, I think it's THE perfect kit if you have a loved one in the military!

Which... I don't.

And STILL it's an awesome kit to scrap with.

I just had to put my thinking cap on, but soon realized I DID have a LO I really wanted to make, and this kit was just perfect for it!

It turned into a 2-pager, as I had too much stuff to put on just one page.

Journaling reads:

I grew up with the given fact that East and West Germany were split. A border between them, and people and families split up. I learned a bit about it at school. It was terrible for the people. Later I heard the news of the wall coming down, and saw some of it on TV. But all these things, although I thought they impressed me, did not really, deeply do that. The feeling was more that You were taught to be impressed, to have respect. It was not something that came from the inside.

Last year, while visiting our friends, we also made a trip to a memorial site, with part of the border still there.
Just a half hour drive, and I wanted to see it for myself
There, I got more of the feeling of what it must have meant for the people living there,
and I got impressed. From the inside. From just imagining and understanding the tiniest bit of what they must have felt, and what it must have been like.

One of the things that got to me was the story behind the
Birch Cross.
Erected to the memory of two men who attempted to escape at this place at Christmas 1975. They had almost reached their goal when one of them detonated the splinter mine, which had been installed on the last border-fence. He was so seriously injured that for a long time everyone was certain that he had not survived. His companion was arrested.
This all happened before the very eyes of the Americans, but they were not allowed to intervene...
Today the birch cross represents all those who had become victims of the German division.

To be honest, when I first saw this I thought, is this it? This wire-like fence? I expected a wall, like in Berlin. Then I got to think, and it hit me that people could SEE, the other side, but never were able to reach... See the land, the houses of your friends and family... And it should feel like you could just touch it... But you couldn’t. How hard must that have been?

It’s good they have photo’s of how it was back then. As the green fields surrounding the border now, don’t give you the same feeling as the border with members of the East German border troops on the photo from the mid 1980’s.

My 9-year old wants to learn to cook! So here's something she made.

The recipe is easy enough, and still a lot of fun.

I can still remember, I made it too when I was a kid. ;)

Journaling: (translated)

Lisa wants to learn how to cook.
A fun, tasty and easy recipe to start with is this filled baguette.
The fact that mum used to make it when she was a girl, made it even more fun.

Recipe: (translated)

Ingredients:
1 baguette (or 2 pre-baked)
350 grams minced meat
200 grams grated cheese (or more
for topping)
1 small onion
1 small tin of tomato puree
1 egg
1 clove of garlic or powder (to taste)
1 pinch of salt
pepper
3 theespoons sweet pepper powder
2 tablespoons soy sauce

Directions:
* preheat oven at 200°C
* slice baguette in the length, and scoop out the inside (don’t slice the pre-baked)
* Mix the minced meat with the cheese, chopped onion, tomato puree, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, sweet pepper powder and soy sauce
* Fill the bread with it.
* put some cheese on top if you like
* Put the baguette ± 20 minutes in the pre-heated oven.

No, no new year's resolutions from me. Maybe more blogging, but no promises. ;)

Phew, I've been neglecting this blog.

Not too strange, as I've been slacking in designing -and not planning to change, as I wanted to scrap more- and then I've been slacking at scrapping too. And when I did scrap, I forgot to blog.

Until now.

Danyale has made this lovely new kit, and I've actually scrapped with it.

Here are two LO's from me, they both happen to feature my youngest one.

so you could stay up all evening to celebrate the new year

and couldn’t help falling asleep on my lap.

Ooh, such exciting news!
For a while now, I've been invited and accepted as an "Etceterette"
Well, I can imagine you wouldn't know what that is. LOL.
It means I'm part of a great team of scrappers who make LO's with the beautiful items made by Etc. by Danyale And she lovingly calls us her Etceterettes. :)
(no, it's not the same as a CT, but yeah, kinda.)

We've all been very excited about that, as we have seen the kit she made for her opening come together.
And we were all OOHHH's and AAAHHH's.
It's called Childhood Magic, and you it's GORGEOUS. No, I'm not just saying that. It's stuffed with original items, and I LOVE original work!
I honestly don't think I've ever come across a kit anywhere like it.

I'm sorry. I don't have much of a designing mojo, and I like to scrap more. So that's what I do, as it's a hobby. And if I design while not really wanting, it won't make a pretty kit anyway.

Christmas Long Ago

Oh - My - Gosh!
I got an AWESOME gift from Gaye (GS Creations)
She asked if I ever used doodles....
Uhhh.... Ehm.... Well, actually... No. *giggle*
I use a program for my scrapping and designing that's completely different from the usual used programs (This is a vector based program called Xara)
But these doodles... THESE doodles are SO beautiful! SO cute! My word, I LOVE the little elves, and toys, and gift boxes. And the snowy ones... Too adorable!
I can imagine printing them out as-they-are for the kids, so they can color them with pencils!

And I got ALL FOUR of these! (no strings attached I may add!)
So, I just couldn't resist.
I had to take a deep breath, and learn how to work with them. :)
Oh I liked it a LOT.
MWAH! THANKS GAYE!!! I've learned a new thing! :)

These are the colors for the DSO September Colour Challenge by the talented Kim Broedelet:

There are quite a few of you that make LO's that are 11"x 8.5".
My friend Faith (who has helped me name a number of kits now!) is one of those.
I noticed the commonly used squared background papers aren't always a good fit. You always need to resize or cut off edges. So I tried and made some 11"x8.5" papers, to match the 12" x 12" ones with this kit.
Thank you Faith, for helping me name my kits! Hope you can find some use for this!
Ehm, as you'll notice, I named this one myself, and yeah, it isn't as original. But I wanted it to be a bit of a surprise. :)

Not something I'm used to do, this 'storybook' look, but GREAT fun, and I sure will try that again.

Aw, I'm not sure how it's gonna go with this month's colorchallenge, I'm so lacking mojo again.
When I look at this months colors, I can see a fun kits happening with, (like hawaï style, or how do you call it) And that's just not something I can make.
Besides that I've been busy with a digital photo album, my youngest is turning four, and all in all, it's not the best designing time for me.
Sorry.

BUT!

I've decided to make an older commercial kit available as freebie. It's the Fathers Day kit I made when I was with DAC last year, and I thought it would be nice for upcoming Fathers Day. (It is Fathers Day on Sunday here in the Netherlands)

Balloons

Today I got a nice email from Maria, she had some trouble extracting files. I'm sorry I can't fix that, as when I checked and download them myself, they were fine. So it must be somewhere in the download itself where it goes wrong.
Still, I much appreciate she let me know. I know sometimes a file somehow can get corrupted, and if I know about it, then I can re-upload for you!

She also wanted to know if the images I used to frame a photo of my son on his birthday, (this post), were somewhere available on the blog.
Well, actually not, it was just a balloon I extracted and colored to put around that photo.
But I thought I'd make it into a frame, (with and without shadow) and well, why not add the separate balloons and a b/w version of the balloon, so you can recolor it yourself and make it fit your own images?

So, here it is for Maria, and anyone that wants it.

Ooh-whee, the new colors of KimB for the April colorchallenge had me thinking for a while!
Now I loved them, don't get me wrong, but WHAT to create with it? I had no idea.
So I just started with a paper, and added a few more things.
Never really got a 'theme' going, but I tried some new styles and techniques, and I actually like how it turned out. :)

Got a bland name again, but I just can't think of a snazzy one!

Chocolate Anyone?

So with my last post, my dear friend Kerri asked if I wouldn't add any chocolate to the kit...

This might need some explaining.
LOL.
We're both joining the ADSR-5, where you get two challenges a week.
This week, for one of the challenges you have to incorporate chocolate into your layout.
A very yummy task! :)

Anyway, I can always use an excuse to open a bar of chocolate, So here are, for anyone who likes it, but especially for Kerri, some Chocolate Bits. :)

I took her little boys theme, and added inspiration from my three year old boy Tommy.
This kit got a bit out of hand, it has 17 papers, and 71 elements, there should be enough in it for girls too.
Especially if they're a bit of a Tomboy. ;)

So I couldn't stop playing, and made some add-ons to my kit "Look mum, it Snows!" (look here for that one)

This winter my kids called that often!
It's not often there's a nice pack of snow, so they enjoyed it very much.

Kim's colors for the DSO-colorchallenge were practically perfect. ;)
Nah, they are perfect. but not for what I had in mind.
So I added black, and for a few touches, brown and green.
I think it works, I hope you like it too.

I know, by now a new kit for the CC would be due... But I have so much fun with these colors, I have a hard time deciding the kit is finished.
I need to stop and start making a preview, zip it and post it. I know. And I will.

I am so in love with these colors. They would do great for any summer photo's, but I was designing it with my mind also on tropical islands, cocktails, party's with friends, sunbathing, sunsets... all in all just Celebrating the Summer.

Well, DigitalArts-cafe had some troubles the last few days! Some pirates had hit the store. Well, our store owner Melo has worked around the clock to repair everything. I can't begin to imagine the workload that brings. But she managed. And thus, we're BACK!!

TOMMY IS THREE!!

I have been away a while, I had a bit of a busy time. My little boy turned three! He's now a BIG boy. :)
He had his first real party, with two friends from kindergarten invited.
So cute, they had fun with just a little game, a birthday cake, and playing in the garden. It doesn't take much to please them at that age. :)
Just loads of balloons and garlands!
Now I need to tell you, Tom LOVES to count. He can count from one to twenty, and from ten to zero.
So, we told him he'd have his birthday, and he'd then no longer be two, but three!
He sure understood, it was all we heard for a week.
"I'll have a birthday party, I'm gonna be three years old!"
But when we had a family party a few days later, he said he now was FOUR years!
Why yes, another party, another year, right?
LOL. Well sorry baby boy, mommy loves to enjoy you being little for a bit longer.

Here's the birthday boy on his new bike.
You'll have to excuse his morning head, it really was quite early, he got his presents before his sister went to school. :)

I didn't spent much time behind the computer, although I'm working on a new kit, and hope to have it finished soon. But, school holidays are near too, and that'll keep me very busy too. So we'll see.
Last week we got such sunny weather here, I really had to enjoy some of that.
We don't get that much good weather here, so I didn't want to inside to play on the computer too much. Here's why:

They sure did enjoy turning the sandpit into a mud hole. Oh sorry, into a "Beach". :)
While it sounds much nicer, believe you me, it is just as muddy! Ha!

OH - MY - GOSH!
Well, if you didn't know already, I'll tell you now. I'm a HUGE fan of KimB . Huge. I love her kits, her CU-items, her blog, her colorchallenge...
You get the point.
So, when yesterday I found in my email a note saying she RAK-ed me with her newest, STUNNING kit Mezzaluna, I was happy as a kid!

I'm trying to blog more often, I really am.

Well, I've decided to add my Quick Frame Clusters to the DAC-store.
They have been free-with-purchase from April 15 to April 30.

Guess who did the colorchallenge again?

BIG surprise, to me too. :)
I actually found some time to do KimB's awesome colorchallenge at DSO.
(check for more kit's with these colors there!)
I saw the colors, they reminded me somewhat of a photo just taken a few days ago. So I thought I should do a LO with it.
So the mini you get, is everything I made for the LO. :)

Here are my two kids.
While visiting Madurodam, there was a special 'Meet and Greet' with Bert and Ernie.

I did a little LO myself too.
At BeenThereScrappedThat, was a scrap-a-story challenge. I just made the perfect photo's for it, and had been wanting to scrap with them anyway. But I love a challenge, it gives me a bit more fun in scrapping. :)

The journaling gets a bit lost here. This is what it says:

My husbands grandfather started the tradition. When you want to eat an Easter Egg, you'll have to break it. If so, then do it well!

His father continued the tradition. Be sure that even the most beautifully decorated eggs got smashed!

This year, we got an large egg ourselves. So, my husband got to continue the tradition. Much to his joy, and that of our children. My guess is that one day, Tom will be the one to happily smash the pretty eggs.

Let me tell you, a long-long time ago, November 2007, I made my first mini kit ever.
It was for KimB's color challenge. Still the best there is. :)
She was one of the sweet people to download and make a LO with it. She combined the kit with some other items, and I absolutely loved what she did.

KayJay's work, and a freebie!

I've got something to tell you about my friend Kerri (KayJay)
She's now a designer in TWO stores! At DigitalArts-cafe, and now ALSO at Been There Scrapped That!
AND...
She has TWO new kits out, both of which I got to play with.
Yes I have been scrapping, when I should have been designing. And I had fun! So there! :)

First of all, let me show you a collaboration kit she did. She worked together with SweetDigiScraps. Their kit is called April Showers, and is absolutely stunning!

Here's what I did with it:

Mid summer, and my then almost-4 year old girl Lisa was happy to see a few drops falling!
Yeah, new umbrella, with Winnie the Pooh on it.
Although not very visible on the photo.

I also have one with my boy Tom, two years he's on the photo.
I did this for the quote challenge at DigitalArts-cafe.
I liked the quote, and searched for a photo to fit.
I think I succeeded...

Kerri also made an Easter kit.
Bright, colorful, and VERY fun, as you can tell by the name: Chirpy Chirpy Hop Hop. :)

Journaling reads:
Lisa just wasn't feeling well the last few days, she had an upset tummy and a temperature. Then on Easter morning she managed to get enough energy to go hunting for easter eggs. But looking at her precious find made her sad, as her tummy just couldn't agree with it. Such luck chocolate stays good. Within the next couple of days, the egg magically disappeared!

And I could use some fingers crossed, as while I'm writing, both my kids have fevers and ears hurting... And they'd really like to go hunting for eggs in the garden on Sunday! ;)

Next up is Tom, painting eggs last year.
At the end, my hands had more paint on them than his!

A kit, a call and a gift!

NEW KIT

When the son of friends of us was born, I wanted to give them a personal gift. So I created some stuff based on his clothing and the colors of his room. I liked it so much, I wanted to do a full kit with it. (With their permission!)

His name is Samuel, so I named this kit "Baby Samuel" ;)
Here's the card I made for them:

Samuel was born a month early, and so he was very small. (He did well though!!) But they were very proud when they had extra small clothes that actually fit him.
Text reads: "Samuel in size 44!
Samuel is wearing clothes that fit, and don't slouch around him."

I really had so much fun with this kit, it became a bit large. ;)
It has 26 papers, and 52 elements.
And I'm still getting ideas for it! Well, that'll be stuff for a couple of more freebies then I think. ;)

You can easily make an album from baby's first year, the pages start sweet and cute for the newborns, and then go to playful and bold-colored while your baby grows older.
Also perfect to make as a gift.
You can do anything, as the 'My first year' wordart for the front page comes not on that page, but in a separate PNG-file! :)

A challenge and an alpha!

My friend Kerri had challenged me on her 356 blog a while ago. (sorry Kerri, you know me...)

The rules are as follows:
Go to your photo folder in your computer.
Go to the 6th folder of the photos.
Go to the sixth picture.
Put the picture on your blog and description of it.
Invite six friends to join the challenge.

Wel... I have NO photo's in my sixth folder, just more folders. Heehee, I could have taken the easy way out. ;)
But I took the sixth folder there, and then I finally had my photo.
Lucky me, it's one I can show you! ;)

One of many I took while we were at the children's farm / petting zoo. Not one of the best, but I just can't seem to throw photo's away. (no idea who's walking in the background)
It's taken in may of 2006, Lisa is 3,5 years old there. She did look sweet in that dress, and princess shoes, didn't she?
But not what you hoped for, I bet. Not embarrassing, or stunning or funny. I liked Kerri's photo much better! ;)

I've done it. I've finished my second kit for the store!
I'm quite happy with it. I made it with my six year old girl in mind, who LOVES everything pink, glittery, shiny and Princess-y. You know a girl like that? Then you don't want to miss this new kit!

I love how a circle paper suddenly has so much retro-feeling in it, almost looks like LP's!

And then this one, I LOVE white-space LO's when they're well done! This is SO beautiful, and how cute and concentrated the girls look!

Then she thought of the weirdest thing. LOL. She wanted to know if she could make the kit work for her BOYS...

Hello again!

I've been playing with my kit Valentimes, to see if it would actually work. lol.
Well, I think it does, I've made six bragbook pages with it! :)
So, I thought I'd share them with you.

Also, I got this amazing LO from Benita.
It's her parents wedding photo, and I think she did a wonderful job with it. I love so much how this sepia-photo works with the kit! And that layering... Beautiful!

What a way to start the new year!

First of all:
Happy New Year!!

I hope you all had a wonderful ending of the old, and beginning of the new!

Mine... It started with some GREAT news, and now I can tell you:
I'm gonna be a real designer! I'm SO PROUD!

I'm gonna be a designer at DigitalArts-cafe, and that's the same store where my good friend Kerri (KayJay) is a designer. We're gonna have so much fun there!
I'm not one to visit many forums, it takes me just too much time to be honest. But there I came to support my friend Kerri when she took part in a designer contest, and I just got stuck. They're a bunch of friendly people. I can't explain what it was that got me stuck, but I just couldn't leave!
(They also are the ones that organized the blog party I joined in December)

Well, my first kit is almost ready to go to the store, so keep an eye out!
Of course, with a kit, there comes a freebie, and as soon as all items are in the store I'll post it, and you can come and get it at the store. You will come, if only to see, right? ;)

Do you want to know something about the kit? I've got a little hint for you.
It's named Valentimes, it combines a bit of vintage and a bit of now.

Well, I'm joining a Blog Party, and it's my first! :)

On december 1, the DigitalArts-Cafe Blog Party starts!
At the moment there are almost 60 blogs going to participate...

My kit is done, and the post for that day is even ready to get published. As I wouldn't want to be too late! LOL.

Now I wanted to play with it, so If you want a sneak peek?

Here are two LO's I've done with it:

This is a photo of two of the many lovely decorations my daughter brought home from a toddler-playground, when she was just two years old.

And this one, my daughter helped me make!
She wanted to know what mommy was doing, so I showed her.
She loved it! (I hope you do too...)
She immediately started telling me what to use, and where to put it.
Then, when I explained the kit was to give away, she did NOT like that!
LOL.... She wanted to keep it!
Ok, try to explain about digital copies to a six year old... ;)
But she did understand we would have it too, and is OK with it.
Sweet girl!

You better go and make space on your Hard Drives, as this kit alone has over 100 MB of goodies! :)

First I want to reply to a message I got from Nani.
She gave me an award!
I have not forgotten Nani, I'm just not a frequent blogger. Somehow it takes me forever to finish a post! lol.
Look what I got:

I have to name 7 things I love and then pass the award on to seven other people.

Here goes:

1- My family. Ok, easy one. But at least I didn't name everyone separately! :)
2- Sleep in in the mornings. (Not that I get to DO that actually, with two young kids.)
3- The dog of my neighbors. He's awesome. I've been afraid of dogs most of my life, and this Golden is just TOO sweet. Now I can honestly say I'm NOT afraid of ANY dog anymore!
4- Chocolate bars and chocolate milk... Addictive stuff... ;)
5- Disney animated movies.
6- Reading a storybook with my children at bedtime.
7- Scrapping while the children are sleeping. :)

Now who to give this Kreative award to!

- My dear friend Kerri (KayJayDo) She has been so into designing lately, and has proven to be a real natural. You should check out her blog, especially if you celebrated 'St martins day', she's got an awesome kit for that, and there aren't many!

- Kim B. Well, what can I say that hasn't been said already about this fun, generous, hillarious, awesome, entertaining, kind, joyfull, and VERY talented lady? :)

- Bunny. (Bunny Cates) I LOVE reading about her creativity. From a lady who described herself as being afraid of glue, she now is a creative guru!! :)

- Bethany (Elegant WordArt) I'm SO into wordart lately... A good one can really add some magic to a LO. And hers are awesome! I also admire her for raising her five kids by herself for the last 100-plus days while her husband is away for army trainings.

- Melanie Another great wordart blog! She can come up with some really FUN quotes, and she makes the WordArt in the style of the quote. You know? A fun quote looks fun, a beautiful quote looks beautiful. :)

- Jazzy. (Words to delite) Jep, WordArt again! This sweet lady has had some computer troubles lately, but she's back full force! Keyword for her WordArt is 'Pretty'. It's always a pleasure to look at.

- Linda (Bon Scrapatit Designs) She says she's a slow designer, but she's having freebies ALL THE TIME! And she has a style of her own, and it's beautiful.
Oh, I know she won't 'do' awards, and I can understand it takes just too much of her time! But I also know she does like the appreciation in it. ;)

Jeanie-Scrapdoctor Designs

Now this lady has a lovely collection of free CU items, and she even designs them at request!
But actually.....
It's been quiet at her blog, for a much too long time now.
Her last posts were about her suffering and on the way to recovering from "ESBL-producing e. coli", and I'm quite concerned about her health. It's not like her to not-blog for so long without leaving a message.
If anybody really knows something, please tell if you can?
As for all others... Why don't you leave a nice message for her at her blog?
We all know that, sending good thoughts to her and her family might at least help her/them to feel better.

That's just SHAMEFULL! I'm SO proud of it, and I was very very happy to get it, and now I didn't blog about it!
A long long time ago.... Kerri awarded me with the "I love your blog" award

Now luckily I didn't forget to thank her right away, and I told her that I wouldn't award it further, as I have this one, and don't think I should play the game more then once.

I did learn from it. I was really surprised to see that not all of you want more then just the one page! LOL, and here I thought it was a no-brainer, because doesn't everybody always wants more free stuff?
Now it's clear that the majority of you like more photo's on a QP, and don't specifically care for space and extra png-file. So I might still do some with it, but not as a standard thing.
Now what I WILL do, is in the future when I make two pages, I'll pack them separately.
I think with that, you can all just grab what you like.

I'll tell you about the new kit later, first I want to congratulate my friend Kerri!! (KayJay)

As you might have noticed, she was participating in a designing contest, and well....
She's runner up!!! Second winner! Not to bad hey???

YAY KERRI!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!

I'm SO proud of her, she entered this contest with the total experience of making two kits!
And it was such hard work, each week they had to make a new kit. But she did GREAT!
We all get to share in her victory, as this means that soon some of her kits will be featured as freebies in the DAC-store! So if you don't already have them, keep an eye out, some may be coming back!

Now, for my new kit.
Kim has chosen some sweet colors for the Oktober DSO Color Challenge!
When I saw them, I immediately knew what I wanted to do; make a follow-up to SweetBabyBoy: a SweetBabyGirl kit!
I did cheat a bit, as I liked the blue, but not so much in combination with the boy kit... The two blues don't really match. So.... I've done just a few things with the blue, so you could use them together if you want. ;)
Some things are 'just recolored' - Sounds easy, but really wasn't- ;)
And others are new. This girl kit has a few more elements and papers, but you won't mind, right?

Well hello!
It's been a while I see... And I don't even have a new kit for you! So sorry.
I'm working on one, as the new DSO ColorChallenge is up, but it'll take some time.
As usual... ;)

BUT!
I've told you about my friend Kerri (KayJay) joining the designing contest over at DAC. She's doing SO GREAT!! It's amazing how her skills and talent grow!
Her final entry for it is a VERY Cute Halloween kit, called Spooked.
I told her I might have problems finding photo's for it, as we don't celebrate Halloween in Holland, and she asked me if I might like to make a QP! Well sure! I LOVE making QP's!!

Now I've done the last one's journalling in Dutch, so I'll try to translate it.

In the Christmas Vacation we went with friends to a theme park, it was all dressed-up in Christmas decorations. There also were real fairytale people walking around! When Lisa saw the Witch for the first time, she thought it was wonderful, but a bit scary. Later she did want to take her picture with the witch.
Tom was in a borrowed pram, as a few hours before we would leave, we noticed a flat tire. Of course near the air-valve, so we couldn't repair it. We were thinking he might have to ride the stroller, but he only tried that once, because he was just six months the day before Christmas. Luckily we could borrow this pram from friends, as is would have been much too cold.
Now we had a fantastic fun day!

Falleaves, new free kit

Ok, first I want to tell you something about my friend Kerri!
She has joined the DigitalArts Cafe's DesignIt! contest, and is doing SO great!
Let me show you her first entry:

The task was to create a kit, using a heritage them, and a minimum of six different colors.
I love the colors she chose, and those flower and leaves, they are from her own garden!
By the way, this is only her third kit ever!
If this is what she can do now, imagine here in a few months time?
Yeah, "WOW".

The second task was to create a kit using a given colorswatch.
She made a childrens kit with it. YAY!
Hehe, I have a 2 jr old boy, and a 6 jr old girl. I can ALWAYS use a kit with childrens theme! :)

I wasn't so original this time, I could only see a fall or autumn theme. But, that means you can combine the many many other kits available there.

I couldn't fit everything in one preview. Well, I could, and I added it to the .zip file for those of you who like to have a full preview, But I didn't think it was very good at showing it all.
So, for the blog I made a separate preview for the papers.

I was playing with my SweetBabyBoy kit, and made you a brag book with it.
The pages are 6x4 inch, at 300dpi.

Oh, and I want to remind you of the poll I have! So far, It seems most of you would like just a single page, with more photo's on it?
You know, I thought that part would be a give-away, but you sure surprised me!
Are you all so modest, you rather have one page then two?
lol... I thought a poll would give me answers, and it does, but I always seem to manage to have more questions after an answer is given. Oh well... That's me alright! ;)

Look what I got!

Aw, Kerri is spoiling me again! Look at the LO she did with my Sweet Baby Boy kit:

The fun part is that somehow the colors that Kim picked, are the same as the 'uniforms' used by the hospital where Kerri's boys were born. And then I did a baby boy kit. Some nice coincidences! :)

Then she also gave me a wonderful Award, this one:

I know, she's always in my lists. :)
But again I can not leave her out. I mean, that description is so HER, should have her picture next to it!
I read her blog daily, and it's so lively and full of fun. You can almost hear her laugh reading it. Even when she has a more serious topic, she's still uplifting and positive. She's got such great spirit.
She's also the number one reason I ever started making a kit, and her kind support is a reason to keep doing that. And well, you just read her blog to see how she lives her live. JOY certainly is the major keyword for her! :)

This maybe a bit uninspired, but I really would like to return it to Kerri.
Reading her blog is so relaxing to me and that DOES brighten my day! Sometimes when I want to log off, I see she has posted, and stay up just to read. :)
Watching her beautiful LO's, I learn (at least I try to learn) how not to over-kill my own LO's. She has a certain simple style, that's hard to duplicate. Because when you put just a few things on a LO, it's so important how you place them. She nails it every time. You can imagine how happy I am she always makes a LO with my kit! She makes it look GOOD!
Her support in words and LO's also keeps me wanting to make more kits. And oh just read about her life and the people in it, and you know she fits that part too.

Then there's Bunny Cates. She's the owner of DSO, and she too has learned me a LOT. I made my second kit, and I posted it in her CC (constructive critisism) corner. She gave it a thorough quality check! Must have taken her lots of time, but she did. She told me what was not good, or could be better, and gave tips on how to improve. The fact that she took it that serious, gave me much confidence and the will to improve and keep working on getting better.
Her blog is one screaming of personality and she's just SO straightforward. I can't imagine her saying something is 'lovely' if she meant 'likable', you know? I enjoy reading her blog because of that. And to see her improvements with glue. ;) Sorry... if you read her blog, you'll understand.

And I won't leave my 'mentor' out: Pillowgirl. She quided my first steps in creating stuff to share. And I sure couldn't design a thing myself, so the opportunity to use her creations to make QP's for others was fantastic. People actually were enjoying it, and I just loved how it made me feel. She's having her own store now, after giving lots of freebies out for a long time. And she still can't stop giving!
It's a bit of a shame she doesn't blog too much about her life now anymore. Can't blame her though, I don't either. ;) But when she did, it was fun to read, and I loved seeing her follow her dreams to start her own digitalscrapshop 'MyScrapShop'.

Now, as I was reminding how Pillowgirl started my creating adventure, I have little QP freebie for you. But don't laugh! ;) Because you can't get more ancient than this, lol.
This was my first QP EVER. I made it for the QP-exchange that she had on her blog. The idea was to make lots of QP's for eachother, and you could use any of her freebies to make them.
(I actually don't use QP's myself, but I loved the idea of making them for others)
The idea I had with this one, was to leave room to journal, and maybe on the bottom row you could put a few keywords. But you do whatever you like, of course.

Double QP freebie

Well I wanted to play with Pillowgirl's stuff. So I made a double QP from a single again.
Some of you might know I've made some QP's for Elizabeth (that's Pillowgirl) and now I'm trying to make a matching page so you can have a double-page-QP.
The first I made you can show one pretty photo on, and on the next you can put another six. Don't worry about it being difficult to place photo's, I've also made you two png-files that should help you out.

The kit I used is called Patterned Elegance. But you won't find in Pillowgirl's store now, as it's an oldie. But I thinks it's just very pretty!

Sweet Baby Boy kit!

Have to be quick now, as I'm gonna need some sleep.

It's summer holiday here, and I've been enjoying having my girl at home again ALL day!!
Even though she's been going to school for two years now, I still miss having her home.
I'm SO loving having both my kids with me! And even hubby has his vacation now, so it's very nice to just be at home and enjoy.
That's why I've been neglecting designing and blogging a bit.
But the last few nights Hubby let me play on the computer, while he watched some TV. (Thanks honey!) It does good to relax and design like this. I've never been so fast making a kit!

You know; it's a new month, and of course Kim B has some fantastic colors for the August colorchallenge. And I NEED to do these! (It's very addictive... but you won't mind, right?)
I feel weird. Everybody sees beach and summer and fresh colors, and I see baby boys!
Or did I just want to see that? Aw, my boy is growing up so fast! He's two already! And a friend of us just had a little boy... Soooo cute!! Anyway, these colors would make a cute baby-boy-kit, I thought. And I sure I enjoyed playing with all that little baby stuff! ;)

Just added some buttons. -Argh! I haven't told you yet! Mom has lend me her buttonbox! It's chuck-full of buttons, and I've already made photo's of most of them. You're gonna see more of those, I promise! -
